Israeli Rabbi speaks on Mark Twain and Prophecy

...the greatest omen is when the land if Israel bursts open and gives off ample produce and fruit. In other words when we see the land of Israel give off lavish and abundant produce, then that is the greatest sign that the end of days is near. If we recall our history, the land of Israel had always been a land flowing with milk and honey.

As soon as the Jewish people went into exile, the land "closed up" out of allegiance and loyalty to the Jewish people. It would not allow all of the other nations to enjoy its fruit and other bounty.

The well renowned author Mark Twain visited the land of Israel roughly 180 years ago. He sent a letter back stating that "it seems as if the holy land has been cursed, or is enveloped by some sort of an evil spell..."
