“About the time of the end, a body of men will be raised up who will turn their attention to the Prophecies, and insist upon their literal interpretation, in the midst of much clamor and opposition.”
-Sir Isaac Newton 1642-1727
The Feast of Trumpets was known by those in ancient Jerusalem as “The Day That No Man Knows.” And why is it called this? Well, it is because this is the only feast that is determined by the sighting of the new moon, therefore, “no man” can calculate the exact day or hour of when this feast day will begin.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
-Matthew 24:36
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
-1 Cor 15:51-55
12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid. 13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children. 14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
-Hosea 12-14
